Loyola University Maryland welcomes Bonnie Garmus, New York Times best-selling author, for the 32nd Sister Cleophas Costello Lecture on Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2023 at 7 p.m. in McGuire Hall on the Evergreen campus. Ms. Garmus will discuss the book and her career, then sign books after the event. Copies of Lessons in Chemistry will be available for purchase.
Garmus' debut novel Lessons in Chemistry was published in April 2022 and has been recognized as a "Best Book of the Year" by The New York Times, Washington Post, NPR, Oprah Daily, Entertainment Weekly, and Newsweek. The novel has been adapted into a television series, debuting on Apple TV+ in October 2023. The event is open to the Loyola community, Mount Saint Agnes College alumnae, and the public. Tickets are free for Loyola community members and Mount Saint Agnes alumnae. Tickets are $10 for the general public.
